As a Russell Group institution, the University of Liverpool is one of the most exciting places in the UK to study or research Chemistry. The Chemistry Department is internationally known for its research in fields such as materials chemistry, medicinal chemistry, surface chemistry and nanosciences.
Medicinal and Bio-nano Chemistry focuses on medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, materials chemistry for nanomedicine, molecular modelling and bio-organic chemistry with on-campus collaborations with the MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science, Life Sciences, Structural and Chemical Biology, Institute of Integrative Biology, Institute of Translational Medicine and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Key academics across these collaborations have co-founded the British Society for Nanomedicine.
