For their research on neglected diseases, Achim Hörauf and his team have been awarded with the Memento Research Award. Hörauf, who heads the Institute for Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology at the University of Bonn, has developed a new therapeutic approach againstlymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis).
